Fuori le nominations per le categorie degli Emmy Awards 2016. Game of Thrones è la serie con più nominations fra le candidate

Lauren Grahama e Anthony Anderson hanno annunciato le nominations per la 68ª edizione degli Emmy Awards che quest’anno si terrà al Microsoft Theatre di Hollywood di Los Angeles, il 18 settembre. La cerimonia sarà presentata da Jimmy Kimmel.

La prima categoria è “Outstanding drama”, una delle più importanti, che presenta nomi notissimi nel mondo delle serie tv quali The Americans, Better Call Saul, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Homeland, House of Cards e Mr Robot. Sebbene le preferenze di un’appassionata di cinema vertano tutte su Better Call Saul, Mr Robot e Downton Abbey, i pronostici fanno molto affidamento su Game of Thrones, che risulta essere una delle serie con più nominations. Parlando di drama, un’altra categoria importante è Lead Actor in a Drama”, che vede candidati Kyle Chandler per Bloodlines, Rami Malek per Mr Robot, Bob Odenkirk per Better Call Saul, Matthew Rhys per The Americans, Liev Schreiber per Ray Donovan e Kevin Spacey per House of Cards. In questa categoria la lotta sembra essere all’ultimo sangue (resta comunque una certa predilezione di parte per Bob Odenkirk, Rami Malek e Kevin Spacey) e non sembra esser da meno neppure la categoria “Lead Actress in a Drama”. Le donne che si contenderanno il titolo sono Claire Danes per Homeland, Viola Davis per How To Get Away With Murder, Taraji P Henson per Empire, Tatiana Maslany per Orphan Black, Keri Russell per The Americans e Robin Wright per House of Cards.

Importanti anche le nominations nella categoria “Supporting Actress In A Drama” che vede una straordinaria Maggie Smith per Downton Abbey contro Lena Headey per Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke per Game of Thrones, Maisie Williams per Game of Thrones e Maura Tierney per The Affair. Nella categoria “Supporting Actor In A Drama” gli attori nominati sono Jonathan Banks per Better Call Saul, Ben Mendelsohn per Bloodline e ancora attori di Game of Thrones quali Peter Dinklage e Kit Harrington, contro Michael Kelly per House of Cards e Jon Voight per Ray Donovan.

Ancora per il drama, nella categoria “Guest Actress In A Drama” compaiono Laurie Metcalf in Horace and Pete, Molly Parker per House of Cards insieme alla collega di show Ellen Burstyn, Allison Janney per Master of Sex, Margo Martindale per The Americans e una fantastica Carrie Preston per The Good Wife. Gli uomini che invece si sfideranno per portare a casa il premio come “Guest Actor In A Drama” sono Max Von Sydow per Game of Thrones, Reg E. Cathey per House of Cards insieme ai colleghi di set Mahershala Ali e Paul Sparks, Hank Azaria per Ray Donovan e Michael J. Fox per The Good Wife.

Per quanto riguarda la commedia, la prima categoria è “Outstanding Comedy” le serie candidate sono Black-ish, Master of None, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Transparent, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt e Veep. Ellie Kemper, Julia Louis – Dreyfus, Laurie Metcalfe, Tracee Ellis Ross, Amy Schumer e Lily Tomlin si sfideranno per il titolo di “Lead Actress in a Comedy” rispettivamente per Ubreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Veep, Getting On, Black-ish, Inside Amy Schumer e Grace and Frankie. “Lead Actor in A Comedy” vede ancora la serie Black-ish con Anthony Anderson, Aziz Ansari per Masters of None, Will forte per The last Man on Earth, William H Macy per Shameless, che appare con la sua unica nomination, Thomas Middleditch con Silicon Valley e Jeffrey Tambor per Transparent. “Supporting Actress in a Comedy” ha candidate come Niecy Nash con Getting On, Kate McKinnon con SNL, Gaby Hoffmann e Judith Light con Transparent, Allison Janney con Mom e Anna Chlumshy con Veep. “Supporting Actor in A Comedy” vede sfidanti come Louie Anderson, Andre Braugher, Keegan Michael Key, Ty Burrell, Tituss Burgess e Tony Hale rispettivamente per Baskets, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Key & Peele, Modern Family, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt e Veep .
