Evil: testo e significato del brano degli Interpol

Questa sera, a X Factor i Bengala Fire presenteranno la loro cover della canzone Evil degli Interpol, una celebre band indie rock statunitense. Ecco il testo e il significato del brano

Nella puntata di stasera di X Factor, i Bengala Fire si esibiranno con la cover di Evil, uno dei brani più famosi degli Interpol, una band rock indie statunitense, che ha riproposto una nuova versione del gene new wave. 

Evil  è stata estratta come secondo singolo per il loro album Antics, uscito il 3 gennaio 2005. Esso ha avuto un buon successo di critica e pubblico, tanto da aver  raggiunto la 18° posizione nella UK Singles Chart. 

La canzone è incentrata sulla mostruosa storia di Fred e Rosemary West, una coppia sposata che, durante gli anni ’60 e ’80 in Inghilterra, ha violentato e ucciso circa 11- 13 ragazze adolescenti. Frederick West si è poi impiccato nella sua cella del carcere di Birmingham, quando era ancora in corso il processo.
