Oscar 2019, “Dogman” non sarà Miglior Film Straniero

Si ferma qui la corsa di Dogman all’Oscar 2019: il film di Matteo Garrone è fuori dalla shortlist di nomination per il miglior film straniero

Dopo la vittoria di Marcello Fonte agli European Film Awards, la strada verso gli Oscar 2019 sembrava tutta in discesa: invece, un pò a sorpresa, Dogman è fuori dalla short list di pellicole che il mese prossimo si contenderanno la statuetta di Miglior Film Straniero.

Resiste, invece, il film “Roma” di Alfonso Cuaròn (qui la nostra recensione) che nella categoria sembra avere a questo punto, pochi rivali fatta eccezione per “Cold War”.

La trama

Dogman si ispira alla vicenda di Pietro Negri, detto er canaro, che nel 1988 ha ucciso il criminale e pugile dilettante Giancarlo Ricci (che nella pellicola ha il volto di Edoardo Pesce).
