“Chosen” è il titolo dell’inedito della band romana Maneskin, cha sarà presentato stasera per la seconda volta ad XFactor. Composto nel 2016, la musica del brano è stata composta da tutto il gruppo ma il testo porta la firma di Damiano. Come si può facilmente intuire dal titolo del brano Chosen, è chiara la voglia dei Maneskin di trasmettere le loro scelte di vita, nonché la loro scelta della musica.[ads]

“Questa non è musica, questa è vita, questo è ciò per cui vivo”. E’ questa forse la frase più emblematica che racchiude al suo interno la consapevolezza della band romana nelle loro capacità. In una semplice frase è contenuto il significato di “musicista”. Un perfetto intreccio di emozioni, che parte dalla musica per prendere il sopravvento sulla propria vita, fino a diventare essenziale per la sopravvivenza dell’artista. “E non voglio ascoltarti perciò stai zitto e ora seguimi”. Il grido dell’indipendenza da qualsiasi restrizione. Questa è la nostra musica e chi ci ama ci segua. E’ questo il messaggio dei Maneskin che non vogliono più essere consigliati e portati per mano. Vogliono trovare da soli la strada senza indicazioni e, in toni a tratti autoritari, “costringono” i loro fan a seguirli per intraprendere insieme il loro cammino nel mondo dell’industria discografica.[ads]

” Qui ci sono molte persone stupide e hanno il controllo, ho un piano e non lo lascerò andare, ho una pistola nella mia testa pam pam pam spara”. Con questo verso non solo i Maneskin si liberano da tutte le sovrastrutture, ma vogliono esprimere la loro consapevolezza in quello che fanno. Ci sono molte persone stupide e loro hanno il controllo. Probabilmente in queste poche parole vogliono portare avanti il loro desiderio di rivalsa, dopo alcune porte che non gli erano state aperte, e con orgoglio gridano la voglia di portare avanti il progetto che li ha catapultati a presentare il loro inedito in prima serata. Hanno un’idea ben chiara, e se la loro testa è la pistola sicuramente questo primo inedito sarà il grilletto per “sparare” al mondo la loro musica.[ads]
