Feel Good Inc: testo e significato del brano dei Gorillaz

Nella puntata di giovedì sera, a X Factor i Karakas  si esibiranno con la cover di “Feel Good Inc”, il brano dei Gorillaz vincitore del premio Grammy

Per la nuova e attesissima puntata di X Factor, i concorrenti dovranno nuovamente cimentarsi nel campo delle cover, tappa obbligatoria per ogni musicista e cantante che si rispetti. Tra tutti i brani che sono stati assegnati, in modo particolare spicca la canzone “Feel Good Inc”della band inglese Gorillaz affidata al gruppo Karakaz.

La canzone è stata estratta come primo singolo dal loro secondo album “Demon Days”, uscito il 20 maggio 2005 e arrivato primo nella Official Albums Chart. “Feel Good Inc” altro non è che una riflessione sulle abitudini delle persone per cercare di trovare un po’ di pace e serenità. In modo particolare, il brano pone una particolare attenzione sul lato più autodistruttivo del piacere, ovvero droghe, pillole e dipendenze. Il racconto si interrompe fino al ritornello, che è un rimando sul bisogno di abbandonare questa sorta di comportamenti e cercare invece di amare gli altri per far sentire bene loro.

Feel Good Inc vanta anche la collaborazione con la band hip hop De La Soul, che ha cantato alcune strofe. Il duetto ha poi trionfato nel 2005 ai Grammy Awards come Best Pop Vocal Collaboration.
